Group Commercial & Marketing Director
Simon leads the marketing and partner alliances organisations at MTI. The marketing function is focused on developing industry-leading demand generation activities while raising the profile and reputation of the company. The alliances team works with MTI’s vendor community to develop highly productive partnerships that benefit customers, vendors and MTI.
Simon joined MTI in 2018 with a proven track record in the technology and services industry, having spent over 20 years holding director / VP roles in marketing, partner alliance and professional services as well as starting and growing a number of companies including a cloud computing services company which he successfully sold.
Simon started working in the IT sector with a 7-year stint at MicroWarehouse where he was European Director of Marketing. Following that, he joined Insight plc where he ran the marketing and partner management organisation as EMEA VP and successfully turned the department into a highly productive and lucrative function.
After leaving Insight in 2009, Simon started a cloud computing services business to tap into the new and growing demand in the market. After selling the company to Trustmarque in 2012 he joined the management team there as Marketing and Alliances Director and subsequently ran the professional service function as Services Director, helping to significantly grow that function during his tenure.
Simon left Trustmarque to run a successful marketing automation agency and also held a part-time non-executive role as Development Director for the Cloud Industry Forum where he helped them develop an industry recognised training and certification programme.
